Ultra Naté – ultra savvy. Hear Ultra’s take on the covid pandemic from a medical perspective- probably the best outlook on such a troublesome time which has severely impacted the music industry and arts. Ultra Naté lays out how she has evolved to keep in tune with how the future land lies.
Hear about the pitfalls of signing contracts in the music industry and how Ultra has ‘fallen up’ from those times. She shares with us her beginnings from a club kid to singer and locking her first contract down to becoming a superstar in dance music from the late 80’s into the 1990’s.
Ultra Naté explains of how one of her biggest singles called “Free on Strictly Rhythm was made and her signing her deal with the hottest dance music record label of that time. She shares with us how hard it can be when a major label basically says to you are on the wrong side of 25, making out that you are too old to be in the game. Well, she took the advice and turned it around quick and in turn built her own empire which ensured her rightful place in the business.
The entire part of the process was handled with love and as she is blessed to have a fantastic management. Ultra speaks about making the transition into becoming a international DJ and creating her party called Deep Sugar and the success it is. She closes what her music life will be in the next few months to two years.

Singer / songwriter / producer Ultra Naté is celebrating her 30th year in the game having debuted on the scene in 1989 with the deep house classic “It’s
Over Now” and her revered 1990 album “Blue Notes In the Basement”, which spawned the hits “Rejoicing,” “Deeper Love,” “Scandal,” and “Is It Love?.”
Ultra was one of the first house music artists signed to a major label deal when she inked with Warners Uk.
Three decades on with massive crowd stompers such as “Twisted,” “Automatic,” “Desire,” “Unconditional,” “New Kind Of Medicine,” “Found A Cure,” “How Long (Ultra Flava)” and the Top 10 “If You Could Read My Mind,” Ultra Naté is currently wrapping production on her 10th album and a handful of exciting new and unexpected collaborations.
Throughout Ultra’s career her sound has embraced a variety of genres including house, soul, disco, electro pop, R&B, hiphop and rock.
She’s collaborated with a wide array of artists such as: The Basement Boys, Nellee Hooper, D-Influence, Mood II Swing, Nona Hendryx, Lenny Kravitz,
Frankie Knuckles, N’Dea Davenport, DJ Class, NERVO, Todd Terry, David Morales, Michele Williams (of Destiny’s Child), 4 Hero, Deee-lite, Masters at
Work, Roger Sanchez, Morgan Page, Quentin Harris and others. Ultra is honored to be considered an icon of the Dance and LGBTQI communities worldwide.
She was named one of Billboard Magazine’s “Greatest of All Time” *Top Dance Artists (#12) along with having three entries in the industry bible’s
respective “Greatest Of All Time” *Top 10 Dance Club Songs. This Summer Ultra Naté was the only female and her classic “Free” made Top 10 Best Ibiza Anthems of All Time list from Tomorrowland’s One World Radio.
Last year during World Pride celebrations Ultra Naté’s “Free” was universally named one of the Top Pride anthems of all time. A newly curated remix selection of Ultra’s seminal, #1 platinum-selling smash, “Free” are currently in rotation and being self-released throughout 2020.
